Nashville Engagement Photographer | Percy Warner Park

For Lindsay and John’s engagement session we started off at Christ the King Church (where they are getting married in just a few months!). Next we headed to Percy Warner Park (where John proposed) and were able to capture some beautiful photos at sunset. It was so easy to capture Lindsay and John’s playful and loving personalities. Nashville Wedding Photographer Availability for 2013-2014 season

This past week we have received quite a few inquiries for last minute Nashville weddings. We wanted to take a quick moment to remind all of our friends to book their wedding photographers early. In Nashville photographers tend to book up about 6 months to a year in advance. With that being said we still have a couple of dates available for Summer/Fall 2013 and if we aren’t available we have a great network of photographer friends who we can refer you to if we aren’t! Follow up to our Introduction to Photography Workshop and new Summer Class Dates Added!

This summer we are offering the (much anticipated) follow up to our introduction to digital photography class. Our Composition and Posing in Natural Light workshop will go over the elements you should look for when composing a photograph, such as location, positioning and directing a subject. We have designed this workshop to be a follow up to our intro class and build on the foundations of digital photography so our students can move from taking snapshots to making photographs.

The fabulous (and extremely creative) portrait and fashion photographer Rae Marshall will be joining Celladora’s lead photographer John Yates to provide both in class instruction as well as hands on shooting demonstrations in these interactive workshops.

Over the past year we have helped over 300 budding photographers learn the basics of digital photography and how to get their cameras off of auto mode! We are so excited to continue adding to that number as well as offer our alumni new and exciting classes to help grow their skills as photographers!

Catherdral of the Incarnation Wedding | Avenue Reception | Erin + Zach

You might remember Erin and Zach from their epic snowy winter engagement photo session a few months back. I had so much fun with them during the engagement session I knew their wedding was going to be awesome. The ceremony was held at The Cathedral of the Incarnation. The first time you walk in there you just simply have to admire the beauty and craftsmanship. It provided the perfect backdrop for Erin and Zach’s vows.

After the ceremony we hopped in a trolley that took us to Avenue, one of our favorite Nashville reception sites. Guests were on the dance floor the entire night and no one wanted to leave. It was such an honor to be a part of this beautiful wedding and meet Erin and Zach’s families. I hope you enjoy this preview from their wedding and join us in wishing them a very blessed life together!

Downtown Leipers Fork Engagement Session | Tabi and Turk

When I first met Tabi and Turk and heard them describe their wedding I knew it was a perfect fit for our style and was so excited when they decided to book us. For their engagement session they choose to do it in Downtown Leipers Fork (just a few minutes away from Franklin, TN). I had never been there before so it was so much fun exploring the area with them.

Turk showed me a photo he had taken from a bridge nearby and I knew that I wanted to take a photo of them there at sunset. We grabbed some beers at Puckett’s Grocery and got to listen to some live music while we waited for the sun to go down. I’m glad we waited the view from the bridge was amazing! I hope you enjoy this sneak preview of their engagement photos. I can’t wait to share their wedding with you!

Nashville Indian Wedding Photographer

It was such an honor to capture this beautiful traditional Indian wedding in Nashville at the Ganesha Temple. The Ganesha Temple is a beautiful location for Hindu weddings in Nashville, TN. This elegant ceremony and reception had a very elaborate feel but was still a very intimate occasion for the couple and their guests. It is always a joy to see the diversity in customs and beautiful rituals that makes each wedding perfectly unique.

Nashville TN Engagement Photography | Micah and Mallory

Last week I got to shoot an engagement session for my good friends Micah and Mallory. They are both very artistic and wanted engagement photos that showcased their personal style. As I approached the shoot I knew I wanted to give them something unique but also wanted to give them several choices of great images that they could use for their “Save The Dates.”

With both of them being musicians I had the idea to compose the images and direct the shoot like I would if I were shooting an album cover and promotional pieces for an indie rock band. We traveled to one of my favorite parks in Nashville and shot all of the photos outdoors in the woods and on a walking bridge.

Here are a few of the images that we captured from their engagement shoot. I can’t wait for their June wedding in Florida!
